The North Fork of the Shoshone River flows through the Wapiti Valley and is a blue ribbon trout stream. It is also an excellent river for rafting and kayaking. Depending on the chosen section, it can be either a relaxing scenic float or a white-water thrill.

We are surrounded by national forest with designated wilderness areas containing hundreds of square miles of public land.

Hiking , horseback riding, wildlife photography, fishing and hunting are but a few of the opportunities. This region is home to deer, elk, bear, mountain goats, wolves, moose, and Big Horn sheep.

The nearby town of Cody is home of the Buffalo Bill Historical Center that contains 5 world class museums in one magnificent facility.  You can enjoy Old Trail Town and many other attractions including the famous Cody Night Rodeo.  There are concessions for white-water rafting as well as several excellent restaurants for your dining pleasure.  After your meal, you can work off the added calories at Cody's new recreation and fitness facility that would be the envy of any city. This jewel contains 2 swimming pools, a work-out area, courts for racquetball, basketball, and volleyball, a running track, an ice skating rink, and a hot tub.

Ahh, and then there's Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks! You can experience their unique wonders from your vehicle or, better yet, from the back of your own horse or one provided by one of the fine outfitters in the area. Day use of personal horses in these parks requires only the standard entrance fee ($25) that is good for both parks for a 7 day period. No permit or fee is required to recreate in the national forest and wilderness areas of this region.
